TOP Tuesday
On Tuesday 15th April That Other Place will be taking over the Pilot space for a TOP TUESDAY. We never really had an opening party so you can consider this it.
We will be expanding the food menu for this event, and will have some big party bottles and a fun range of by the glass to share along side the cocktail list as well.
We will open with the full food and drink menu from 5pm.
You can make a reservation online or try your luck walking in on the night.
As always reach out if you cannot find the booking you need.
An evening with Thomas Wines | Wed April 23rd
On Wednesday April 23, we welcome Thommo and Dan for an evening with Thomas Wines.
Thomas Wines is one of the Hunter Valley’s most renowned winemakers, nationally and internationally acclaimed for exceptional, single vineyard Hunter Valley wines.
Thomas Wines is led by Andrew Thomas and his assistant winemaker and eldest son, Dan Thomas. The first Thomas Wines vintage was produced in 1997, with a clear focus and determination to specialise in producing top shelf examples of the two signature varieties of the Hunter Valley, Semillon and Shiraz. 27 years on and countless awards later, this remains Andrew and Dan's core focus. Each wine is destined to showcase its unique vineyard signature and express a real sense of place.
We have just 30 seats available for this evening and would love to see you there. We will be offering our Pilot menu for each guest with the choice to go by the glass, bottle or select a pairing and taste through these expressive rare wines, some of which you will not find anywhere else. Thommo and Dan will be waltzing the dining room and sharing stories of the vineyards, history and their journey in the winery.
BYO Thursdays
The idea is simple. If you wish to pay corkage select your amount and 100% of the proceeds will go to our chosen organisation for the month.
You are also welcome to select from our regular wine list and pairings on the day.
Orange Sky was founded on the idea of providing free laundry services to people sleeping rough, but today, their support spans much wider.
Only 7% of the 122,000 Australians experiencing homelessness are living on the street – the majority reside in supported accommodation, boarding houses, temporary lodgings or households, or severely overcrowded dwellings.
As the cost of living crisis deepens, the need for basic and essential services – like Orange Sky’s – continues to grow.
They provide a supportive, welcoming and inclusive space for anyone experiencing loneliness or disconnection from the community, with a focus on improving hygiene, health and quality of life through access to free laundry and shower services, as well the opportunity for regular connection.
